Turkey Fryer on Craigs list

found a turkey fryer on craigs list for $25, asked the lady to hold onto it for me till this weekend so i can grab it, but with surgery I and the lack to go pick it up, about 15 miles away, i told her I would pay her $30 to have it delivered, she said it would be fine and would drop it off on Sat, then i get an email from her stating that she sold it to a co-worker today cuz he was looking for one. and that she say one at lowes that came with more for a little more than $50. Wouldnt the point of buying one used from craigs list tell you that i dont have the $50 to buy it new and not to tell someone that they will sell it to you (after I've been in contact with her for over a week to make sure she still had it) and then turn around and sell it to the first person that gives her money. I know its all about the money, but thats just a little rude. I was really excited to get it this weekend so i can brew with it next weekend.. ugg I hate people.

Devil's advocate here, but in my experience, especially with regards to a site like Craigslist: it's the first person who shows up with green in their hand. I don't hold anything for anyone nor do I expect people to hold things for me. End of story. She shouldn't have said she'd hold it, so that does kind of suck.
