Default Help a girl out - final gravity to high

So I love brewing cider and peary and have had amazing success. I recently took the plunge and decided to try doing a beer.. since I love beer too but now I've ran in to a snag. Per instructions I pitched yeast and waited two weeks for fermentation. today (2 wks) I checked no additional airlock activities did my final gravity reading and the recipe say it should be zero ( similar to my cider) it's to high (has decreased some since org reading) with what seems still some sugar left remaining. So what should I do?
I panicked and already filtered and racked it in to a keg. So I'm thinking I should add a small bit more of yeast to increase the abv and get a start on the carbonation. P.s. it tastes great like a lighter hefeweizen. I don't want to add to much new yeast and make it taste like a sock but I want to do something ... So should I add a priming yeast or a champagne yeast( never used before but Ive heard it doest impart much taste) any other ideas?
    Thanks !!

Usually, beer finishes much higher than cider or Perry. FG's up to and indeed above 1.020 can be acceptable depending on beer style and the addition of less than fermentables. As asked before, what's the OG and FG? You mention the recipe, was it a kit? Extract, all grain or partial??
