    Default Beer and Food Pairings.

Post your favorite style and food pairings! Link a recipe when applicable.

My favorite pairing is hands down Pils and barbeque. For greasy, smoky meat, a light, crisp and hoppy brew is perfect to cut the fat and refresh.

And I currently discovered a Baltic Porter that came out way too light and bitter paired amazingly well with fudgy ice cream.

Drinking: Raspberry strong ale, APA, Saisson
Conditioning: Maibock, American Standard Lager, Red Ale
    Primary: Lambic, English IPA

New York style pizza and Oktoberfest/marzen. A bit of sweetness & malt balances well with a slightly salty dough, oregano-accented sauce, and pepperoni.

(I know we have some seriously talented homemade pizza makers here - no doubt you've tried various beer pairings with pizza)

Personal favorite of mine is a big, warm soft pretzel, with spicy mustard and a nice German wheat beer to wash it down. the salty/spicy flavor of the pretzel just pairs awesomely with the crisp flavors of a Weissbier. Last weekend, spent an afternoon making rye wheat based pretzels and mustard from scratch; mustard had a pitch of chili powder, curry powder, horseradish, cider vinegar and a splash of an DIPA.
65 Watt Brewing Company. 'Cuz we only brew at night.

I love making pizza at home. And my favorite pairing is Coke. Followed by an American Adjunct lager.
