    What do you do when they out grow your trellis?

    I guess you will be adding a pole next year eh?

    Unless you can add a pole on top, you are SOL.

    I lengthened my pole to 28 feet and the hops are growing so fast they will top out next week.

    Some guys have had luck "training" them to make a zig zag. It has never worked for me but you may want to give it a shot.

    I suppose you could cut it off to encourage lower growth

    You'll probably end up with something like this:
