You can put together a mash tun for 50 bucks. I did look into BIAB and to be honest it sounds like a pain in the ass.

I use it occasionally for small partial mash batches, just in my boil kettle, when I want to throw some diff grains in there. That is easy, but some of it does look like a pita

I just don't have the equipment yet, or I would. I'm saving up for a good all grain set up and a kegging system.

BIAB is painless but it does require a large kettle (I have a old half barrel converted). The nice part for me is I dont have to lift large volumes of water over my head to to my sparges and such. Just mash and rinse the grain bag like a tea bag and the boil. If ya have the kettle the investment will cost ya the amount of a large grain bag ($5- $10)

    but YMMV

I never lift over my head. Table height at the most.

I use a half gallon pitcher. Gotta use the old noggin. Like I said my all grain set up cost me like 100 bucks. My keg system I have put 120 into so far. I have spent more on carboys than anything I think. Crying to the wrong guy about money! I get by though.

Needless to say, i told him i wasnt interestd and when he asked why i told him the company wasnt a good fit for me.
