It has been one of my worst years ever.

Thanks to a very long, cool and rainy spring, I got only about a pound and a quarter of cascades and barely 3 oz of Saaz.

By comparison, I got two and a half pounds of cascades last year.

Meh, it's weather. Not much you can do really.

    Cheers,

All 3 of my vines are 3 years old. My cascade kicked butt. Huge cones and alot of volume. My tettnanger was the opposite, small cones and maybe a sandwich bag -- a bust. And then the willamette had some huge cones, but about a third of the volume of my cascades.

.... and we had fun picking 'em!

Cascade & Nugget are my big producers... the plants are 5 years old. Fuggle and Magnum are just OK, EKG and Mt Hood are big disappointments and No. Brewer and Willamette are second year, so too soon to tell. Looks like my mystery hops will be a huge crop again... planning a wet hop ale to use up some of them.

And for me picking has become a PITA..... took me almost 4 hours yesterday.
