I thought I would post this here as well as where it did put it (in hello thread)
I purchased a Pigeon Pair (Matching fridge and freezer set) that each have plenty of room for two 6 gallon fermenters. I bought a pair of temp controls (STC-1000) and wired them in, along with an outdoor light fitting attached to the floor of each unit, with a single flood light, then covered the light with foil (To prevent light strike in the beer). These things are FANTASTIC! Temp is always exactly what I want, and I can easily raise or lower the temps as required.
When it's warm out and I am having trouble getting my wort chilled, I'll put it in the fermenters around 30C (86 F) and put it in the freezer and wait two hours before pitching the yeast. Temp is always exactly where I want it.
I would HIGHLY recommend fermenting fridges to anyone who asks. Better yet, get a freezer, they are better insulated than fridges and do the job a lot faster and more efficiently.
