It is a Sad Day...

I have had my 03 VW Passat for almost 8 years and I put on all 109K miles. This is the longest I have ever had a car. I had to put it out to pasture today...Took it in to the mechanic a couple days ago and he confirmed the Turbo was leaking oil and the suspension needed to be replaced.

I picked up a used Saturn Vue.

Dead at 109k? Ouch. Leaking turbo seals aren't too hard to replace yourself, same with the suspension.

Parts alone were $4000 - It needed all of the suspension - control arms and all. The Turbo wasn't just the seals - it was starting to whine.

Thanks Mike - I needed something with AWD/4WD, low miles and a low payment. After trade in it only cost me 3g.

I test drove one of those - that effn thing was fast! Got a V6 with AWD needed something that was gonna be able to cart the kids around in the winter.
