    Default Fresh Pressed

Headin' south tomorrow toward the river to help with a pressing down at a friends place about 1.5 hours away. I should be heading back up with 5 gallons of Apple and 5 of Pear juice. Pretty excited bout that.

More excited bout the apple jack

Those that live in glass houses should not throw penises. We all make mistakes.

Sounds awesome - an older couple that goes to my church is doing a pressing next weekend, hoping to get plenty to get this year's cider going.

I most certianly will Flanny, don't know if you remember me talking about going down south to Gravity Head earlier in the year. But I made mention of meeting up with friends who have an entire pole barn dedicated to brewing and wine makeing, including a walk in cooler and 30 & 60 gallon fermentors. We are heading to his place, he has a cider press as well, so I will actually get some pictures this time. Last time I had my video Camera strapped to my hand the whole night and didn't take any pics.

Sadly though I am driving down and back so there will be no drinking down there. I'll be sure to get some pics of the press in action though.

Ya know... there's an apple orchard about 2 minutes from my house. I may have to stop and pick up some real cider and give this shit a try. It has to be tons better than prisonhoochfelwine.

It is SO much better when done right, with good juice that has some tartness.

SO much better. I'm taking a keg of my 08 cider fermented with the White Labs English Cider yeast to a party tonight; I know it won't last long.
