I think I done f'd up my cider, and I'm hoping somebody can tell me differently.
To make a long story short. Through sheer lazyness and forgetfulness I've had my Cider racked for over a year. In that time the air lock dried up and the cider has evapoerated by almost half. so, my question is...is there anyway to save this or should I just dump it. Any recommendations would be welcomed. If you just want to call me a dumbass, it will be taken with a slight grain of salt, but a good sense of humor. |

Well, what does it taste like? Is it clear or got funk growing in it? Does it smell funky?

I decided to dump it, and take my hard lesson learned. It didn't smell bad,it was pretty much clear although it did have some larvea looking balls growing on top of it. The taste was funky so down the drain it went.

Shitty man, but I can't even imagine totally forgetting something for that long. I check on my beers I'm aging all the damn time.
