Question Growing Hops in a Pot

I know this might sound crazy, but as I'll probably be moving eventually, I was wondering if it would be possible to grow one hop plant in a pot, with a really tall trellis, like the one below, but taller?

I've avoided growing hops because I move around so much. I'd be interested to hear if this is possible as well.

There's an article in the new BYO about container growing hops. Your yield will be reduced, and you'll have to take care to provide a very rich soil (container-grown plants deplete soil nutrients quickly), feed/fertilize regularly and water heavily (containers tend to dry out quickly). I'm planting rhizomes this year- and plan on experimenting with a few varieties in large plastic planters or grow-bags.

....that's going to be a key factor. If the container is too small, the hops will not flourish.

That BYO article was an excellent guide for growing weed hops in a pot.

I admire the ambitions of the people that grow their own, but for me it's just too easy to order them by the lb from Puterbaugh.

I don't delude myself in thinking that I can satisfy my needs for hops by growing up a few rhizomes; it's just another layer of the hobby.

Especially when I use 6 oz. of Cascade in an average APA. Them plants would be bare pretty quickly.

It it available online somewhere? I don't get BYO. I guess if my LHBS has it I can pick it up tomorrow.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
