Trying my first one right now!

A: ( not sure how old this one is) pours a murky translucent brown. Little to no head to speak of. More of a thin layer of bubbles.

Aroma: Smells of hot alcohol, light malty sweetness, Plum fig, and golden raisons....and some peppery notes from the yeast.

T: All the aroma x10 Blasts your mouth with dark fruit and and that golden raison flavor. Little hot alcohol in there. Finish melds these flavors together into one sweet delicious unity. Very dry for all the malty/fruity sweet flavors!

MF: light to medium. low carb (may be from age) perfectly compliments the complexity of this beer.

OA: FUCKING AMAZING!!! Iv'e been waiting to try this beer for so long that I figured I built it up too much in my head. To the point that I was only mildly ecstatic when I saw them on my porch today. I would never say that any beer is "the best in the world" But This one is my new favorite!

NIce, I just got 12 bottles in from Hicksey, stashed 'em away. This beer absolutely lives up to the hype everytime I have it.

exact date is 3 years before the date on the bottle top.

May have been mis-treated before you got hold of the bottle, should have a thick creamy foam.

This beer was ten years old when sampled.

True, I always get a thick, creamy head from these guys. I can't wait to try one at 10 years old, only 7 years to go!

I really think alot comes down to how the beer was handled over its life, this chimay was from `85 and damn good too.

Jump on a plane during the winter season when tickets are cheap---er LOL.
$500-700 tickets standard with "deals" posted alot, a buddy got a roundtrip ticket to amsterdam for $1 plus taxes.

So for less than $225 a non stop ticket, Orlando to Amsterdam, lucky bastard.
