Default Boulevard Rye-on-Rye

Label states 33% Ale 67% Ale Aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels.

Pours a crystal clear reddish-orange with a thick tan head that dissapates to a thin layer.

Spicy aroma with a definate whiskey kicker. Fruity and malty notes creep in towards the end.

Big huge fruity maltiness in the flavor, complemented by a nice spicyness nad citrus notes. Firm bitterness balances out the big malty sweetness and the agressive presence of whiskey and oak. Warming for sure, and definately one you are not going to slam. A pure sipper.

After years and years of average to mediocre beers, Boulevard never fails to impress with their new line up of limited editions. This is just another example of how amazing this company has become. An agressive in your face brew that is simply awesome. Count me very impressed.
