I have their manufacture in contact. Pricing would be roughly half the cost of Blichman depending on where I would have to ship it and if it was npt threaded connedtions or Tri-clover. Sizes are 7.5, 14, and 27 gallons (or their metric equivilant)

I am also pondering something of my own, to be manufactured. I have used other conicals and would like to address some of the issues with them. Specifically, sanitation and CIP. And racking Arm.

More to follow
They would have to be a pretty good price, I already have 5 Sanke kegs I use to ferment in. Get some sort of prices together and start your own thread once you get to it.

Regarding the top seal, they seal just fine by turning down the screw, but they are not designed to hold pressure.

Besides going for natural carbonation, is there any other reason any of you would want to build pressure inside your fermenter? Is it worth an extra $100 or more for that? (I'm just guessing the extra cost). How many of you would really want a pressure vessel?

Thanks,

John

Tri clamp fittings are an improvement over threaded fittings because they don't have cracks and crevasses for bacteria to hide out and grow in. Pretty much all professional breweries use them (or similar "sanitary" fittings) as well as other food industries and even pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

I am taking a stab at what everyone else is thinking, but I would want it to be able to hold 3-5lbs of pressure, for transfer purposes. Transfering under pressure helps to reduce the chance of oxidation and allows you to counter pressure fill a corny keg.

Exactly. You don't need much, 3-5 psi works

I have no problem with force carbing beer in kegs over the fermenter.

Default Pressure

3-5 psi is do-able for minimal extra cost. I'm going to make that standard on the larger conicals.

Sent you an email. We want to get two 27 gallon conicals ordered this week. Do you have an estimated wait time on those?
