Nugget, Warrior, Tomahawk, Simcoe, Palisade

I want to brew this, but that's a lot of different hops I rarely use.

Nuggets are great for bittering, I use them all the time.

I always boil for at least 70 mins, because as soon as I throw them in the pot it just reeks like a dirty cat bed and it makes me feel better that they get a little more time

Got the starter going last night, was going strong this morning when I woke up. 2 liter pepsi bottle starter FTW. Who needs a stirplate???

Me.

I've done all my starters without a stirplate to this point, but I have one waiting for me when I start brewing again. It will certainly be interesting to see the difference. Maybe I'll get 2 packs of the same yeast and do 1 starter on the stirplate and one my old way. See how much more production there is, compare fermentation traits of the finished beers, etc.

That is an experiment that would interest me. My starter is going and going and going and I suspect by Wednesday it will be completely done, sans stir-plate

Starter is rocking like a mofo. Gonna weigh and crush grains tonight for a Tue or Wed brew.

Down from 1.07 something to 1.023, need it to drop some more. Sample was verrrrry tasty. Just dry hopped with at least 4 ounces of amarillo, I just kind poured half of what was left in the bag into the fermenter. Krause has dropped except for a 1/4 inch thick layer of sludgy yeastiness. Maybe its the sweetness that still needs, but really its not as bitter as I thought it'd be. The wheat + aromatic and amarillo flavors bounce around very nice and the aromas are straight amarillo.

Just emptied the bag of hops into a secondary, it's being racked on top of it now. Hoping to keg this guy in a week!
