I looked around a lot and put a few different recipes and came up with this which is pretty darn close to the original. I did a side by side taste with a bunch of friends and the difference was negligible. I've also had one other person from another forum brew this recipe and they were very satisfied with how close it is to the original. I have tried this recipe with both white and red wheat and both turned out nicely. I would have to do a trio of taste to see which one is the closest to the original. I know that Three Floyde's claims to use red wheat and I can easily say that either will create a nice brew that is close to the original. Happy brewing and let me know how it turns out if you give this one a try. ![]() |

So how did it turn out kids? I had the chance to stop in to Three Floyds on my way to Chicago last week and let's just say I left a happy customer
The Gumballhead was great I'd have to say in my top 5 wheats. I'd really like to make a batch of this. I'm thinking with white wheat in the recipe I might have to do my first PM or AG. Haven't seen any white wheat extract![]() |

If you liked the gumballhead, then this is the recipe for you. I have had this beer a couple of different times and it really is a spot on clone.
3F's is an awesome bar! And as if their beers aren't enough they have an amazing guest tap list too.
