How smokey is this beast? I'm just beginning to plan a big 'ole smoked porter and am debating on how strong of smokey flavors to go for. How does the smoke change/fade over time? I'm looking for something I can age for a while, so I'm thinking I will go really smokey and let it mellow.

There is a fairly assertive smokiness present, without becoming acrid or ashy. I prefer to think of it as a campfire as opposed to a single malt scotch. No peated malt here!
PseudoChef reviewed it here during the Spring Swap. |
