Default Special Bitter (Partial Mash)

This recipe is roughly based off of the BCS Special Bitter.

Code:
Details:
Name: Special Bitter
Brewer: landis
Size: 5.0 gallons US
Style: Special/Best/Premium Bitter
OG: 1.049,	FG:1.012, Alc:4.8, IBU:28.3
(Alc method: by Volume; IBU method: Tinseth)

Yeast: Wyeast 1968 English London E.S.B

Fermentables:
Name amount units pppg lov %
Belgian Aromatic 0.50 lb 1.030 25.0 6.2%
Crystal 120 0.50 lb 1.029 120.0 6.2%
DME, Extra Light 3.00 lb 1.042 3.0 37.5%
Marris Otter 3.75 lb 1.036 3.0 46.9%
Special Roast 0.25 lb 1.030 50.0 3.1%

Hops:
Name amount units Alpha Min IBU
Fuggles 1.50 oz 4.5 60.0 25.4
Fuggles 0.50 oz 4.5 10.0 3.0
This is calculated at 70% efficiency and it's a little out of style with 4.8%, but it is a mighty tasty brew. I need to get another batch of this brewing, because this one is going fast.

By far the best partial mash I ever did. The BCS version suggested east kent goldings too, but I had fuggles on hand so that's what I used.

Now I just need to adjust this one for all grain and make another batch

Would MO and Special B at like 85/15 be a good start for an AG ESB?

I'd like to plan one of these for the near future.

Next time I do this one AG I'll probably just drop the DME and go with 8lbs of MO and keep the rest of the bill the same.

I think Special B is close to Crystal 120, maybe a little darker and sometimes has that raisiny flavor.

I'm already down to my last 2 gallons of this one. Family and friends really seem to like the low abv and simple malty flavors.
