Default Need advice

My dad wants me to brew an ale that is like "Budweiser American Ale". It seems like it is pretty new to the market.

I dont posses the knowledge yet to pick a brew apart. What I can tell you is that on the color scale in the "Midwest Supplies" cat it is right in the middle. Bitterness to me is also right in the middle. As for aroma, ???? I couldnt say. (hops is the one thing I am not sure what the aroma and tastes are).

From the "Midwest Supplies" cat the closest I can tell is the "Boston Red Ale"

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Dreamer

Bud's American Ale is a very light american pale ale. I very simple grain bill and some cascade hops will get you close. You are doing extract brews, no? I would do something like this:

6lb extra light DME
1lb of crystal 10 or 20 steeped for 30 minutes at 150F

1oz cascade 60 min
1oz cascade 10 min

Safale-05 or white labs 001

BAA is also dry hopped with Cascade - probably another ounce or so.

That recipe sounds pretty spot on. But it will be better. I think BAA has a restrained hop flavor and aroma. The cascades added at the times the guys told you will make a nice ale

That looks like a good opportunity to use WLP862 Cry Havoc
