Default Wine kits?

Anyone ever make one of those wine kits in a box? I got one as a gift and plan on making it when I have the capacity in my fermentor

I was thinking of picking one up to make some wine for the wifey, but the one i had my eye on was like 200 bucks or something crazy like that, so i am shopping around for a better deal.

Midwest supplies has some reasonably priced ones, the last time I was there. With the hop prices the way they are I might have to switch my hobby

Yeah I make the wine kits all the time, my LHBS sells Winexpert kits. I buy the ones that are about 75 bucks and they have 4 gal of juice concentrate in them, and they make 6gal of wine. They also sell some with 2gal of juice concentrate for like 50-55 they also make 6gal of wine. The last one I did was the Australian Chardonnay, and it was good.

I've got 2 beers fermenting right now or I would try my kit! Guess it will have to wait.

With wine don't you have to rack to a secondary for sure and sometimes a tertiary?

Generally a secondary for sure. I don't bother with a tertiary.
