Preachers who claim that God is angry and causes terrible things just to be a dick.
People afraid of non-White people achieving greatness. Homophobes who show animosity towards gay men and women. People who think that America is theirs to define. People afraid of change or risk. Keith Ubben. People who think that playing the role of Teacher is beneath them. People who get offended when you mention a term that applies to their life. Jay Leno, for showing no humility, gratitude, or respect for his co-workers. |

No, not "republicans", Right Wing Fascists.
My wife is Catholic, I'm atheist. I don't dislike people who hold religion dear to them. I dislike people who euphemise their prejudice and intolerance as "defending American values". Yes, they are a part of America and I'm thrilled to live in a country that allows people to be acute or obtuse in their tolerance, but while i respect their right to believe one way I disrespect that they try to label the American Experience as being hateful towards anyone else. The Native Americans thought of the White Man the same way some White Men think of Mexicans, Indians, Blacks, etc. I live in an area that is becoming known as "Little India". Some people get the "They took our jobs!" kind of feeling towards them. They fear what will become of our children. I'm thrilled to know that my sons will be challenged by the Indo-Pak intellect and intelligence. You know what else gets in my craw? This belief that we need to write at a 5th grade level. I watch some kids cartoons from the U.K. and I hear a vocabulary higher than USA Today would ever allow. I hear more polysyllabic words used in British and Irish kids shows than most news reports here. What is wrong with expecting us to achieve a higher intelligence? |

If by "us" you mean the people of the USA, the only thing that is wrong with such an expectation is that it is unreasonable. We (peeps of USA) are too lazy. I guess I'm getting a little pessimistic in my old age.

It's getting kind of gay in here lately. Dem fundy preachers are the center of White Reality in Virgina. They have god on their side. It's just not fair.
It's RR's voice that's the problem; Otherwise she'd doable. The prog girl is a turkey and should be flogged. Octo mom should be shot in the face. JMHO... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
