I was just browsing the recipe section after posting a stout recipe and thought it may could go for an upgrade. I think it would be nice to have it a little better sectioned if you know what I mean. I think if we go more towards the BJCP styles, it is going to make more sense overall IMO.
Otherwise, maybe at least sort it alphabetically ![]()

Flan - Maybe we could put a list of Volunteers together with some web/db skills and make it into a Open source project.

Not sure how I could pull of an open source one. Maybe a recipe wiki?
I was trying to avoid BJCP for some reason when I started the site, but it may be time to move that direction. What's everyone else think?

I don't think having strict style designations are necessary, but alphabetizing all the sub-forums could definitely help.

OK, they are in alpha now. I don't mind moving towards BJCP. It will be a lot of work moving people's recipes around though so I'd like to make sure there's a majority desire for this. Also, the more I think about a recipe's wiki the more I like the idea.

I don't remember. I had some reasoning behind it when I set the site up but completely forgot.

I think if done right - it could be sortable by any variety of options.
Alphabetical, by BJCP standards, Color etc. We could even tap it into the Vbulletin db for users so it could be searchable by Submitters. Just a thought - The Wiki would be good too. |

If there was a wiki people wouldn't be able to comment on the recipes would they? I think that's kind of important.
