Default Homebrew Benefits / Homebrew Buzz?

Saw this slideshow on Esquire.com, which pointed to the POLYPHENOLS in red wine as the primary source of antioxidants. Anyone hear of homebrews being better for you than BMC? I'm now having second thoughts about adding the polyclar to my Extra IPA.

http://www.esquire.com/the-side/feat...alcohol&kw=ist

Secondly, I am almost through all of my Imperial Blonde (9 22oz bottles left), which I calculated to have an ABV of 7.0%. I did bottle it in 22oz bottles, but I have to say, this stuff gets me friggin dizzy...(I am not especially proud of this, but) I think I have a pretty high tolerance, as I have a decent number of drinks on average per week, but I am generally feeling like $1MM after one of these.

I also cracked a premature bottle of stout (bottled 8 days ago, 4% abv), and this one gave me a nice case of the Happies. Is there a different buzz for homebrews (similar to different buzzes from red wine, champagne, beer, whiskey, vodka, etc.)? Maybe its in my head...

Did you drink the blonde on an empty stomach? Ethyl alcohol is ethyl alcohol.

Starting around Feb 09 me and my girlfriend started drinking craft beer and homebrew, and lots of it. The past year has been the healthiest year for both of us that we can remember. Before we started drinking good beer, I always had allergies and got colds and stuff, she was sick fairly often. There are lots of vitamins in brewers yeast. Oh, with BMC I always had bad hangovers (not with bourbon though) - I feel great after getting drunk off craft beer.

As for a different type of buzz, I've never noticed anything I don't think.

Stupid as it may sound, because it's all the same alcohols really, I get a different drunk on whiskey than I do vodka or my choice tequila. Whiskey, I almost instantly give back to the world.

Thankfully I can hammer jack daniels like its a cold glass of water without too many issues. A fine social lubricant is about it.
