Well that sucker's gonna be one tasty beverage! I need to get myself another big bag of wheat so I can jump on the summer beer train...

Think I might brew today as well. It's been a stressful week!! Maybe if I can get enough work done before 4. I already have the grains crushed and a nice starter going.

everything seemed to go well, hit all my temps dead on. Got shit efficiency again!!! 56%. Still beer but damn. Pissed and going to the bar, probably a drunk post to come.

On a good note, this will be the last PM. Goin all grain baby!

Who crushes your grain? Get some PH strips, your water may be off.

How are you missing your efficiency if you're using extract? How's your volume?

PH for KC water is 9. I use 5.2 stabeliser though. LHBS crushes grain. Volume was dead on. I usualy get 75%-80% efficiency. Did not have any extract to make up for low efficiency. Either I did something wrong or the crush sucked. Time to get a barley crusher! Beer should still end up at 4.5% vol. Still fn pissed off! Going to get drunk now. FUUUUCK!!!

I'd look at the crush. My efficiency was wildly inconsistent when my LHBS crushed my grain.

Looks like you had a good brew day other then the efficiency issue. I am with the others on the efficiency issue sounds like the crush

Looking back today I did have a good brew day. I just get irritated when everything goes perfectly and I still get crap efficiency. Did not help that this is twice in a row. Nothing a few urns of Sake could not make better though.
