Beer and ales are my favorite drinks, but I've been out of ingredients
to brew any for a few months now.

But I do have about 300 lbs of honey,so a put a 5 gallon batch of mead on.
I used about 14 lbs of very high quality clover honey, fresh grated ginger, and
some raisins for yeast nutrient, and a ale yeast.
My airlock started bubbling about 3 hours later.

I'm not getting a rapid bubbling like with beer, seems very slow, every few mins.
I don't know what i'm doing,hope it works.
At least im brewing.
What do you guys think?
Mead is my second favorite drink by the way.

Meads are awesome. I have a prickly pear and a blackberry mead aging in my closet right now. That is a shitload of honey. Do you raise your own bees or something?

how does one make mead? Because I would be quite interested in trying to do so, but don't know how to do it
