Just a note that the XL is misleading - this is 1/4' copper tubing.

I made mine out of 1/2 Tubing and I paid $28 for the tubing itself just to give everyone a cost perspective.

You're right, I didn't see that when I looked at first. Mine is 1/4" copper as well but only 25 feet. I guess I thought this was a deal b/c mine was ~$50 IIRC.

It still seems like a good deal to me? No?

I was just bustin your chops - I would think $32 for a IC is not a bad deal - I think I spent $28 for the coil of 1/2" tubing (50 Feet) and then probably another $15-$20 on the additional parts.

It has mostly favorable reviews for its price on the various forums. I had just recalled a post from somewhere that bought it who thought they were misled. Lots have reported a) good service from the company and b) good results with the chiller. I was just making people aware of the size since it is not stated in the ad.

I hate those chillers that have cheap vinyl tubing (which swells like crazy under tap pressure) attached with those chintzy plastic clips. I guaran-damn-tee it will leak like a bitch out of the connection. I use my old one that was built like this (but upgraded to worm clamps) just as a prechiller, and it leaks out of that shit like crazy. It's not a big deal because it just leaks into the prechiller bucket, but I'd be pretty pissed off if unsanitized tap water was leaking into my cooled wort.

I put worm clamps on mine and tightened them down while using it the first time, when the near boiling water was running through it. No leaks so far. But I agree the plasticy compression clamps are garbage for a brewing application.
