View Full Version : Sticky Buns!

From the Aprentice....fan-freaking-tastic. These bad daddys were the last of the batch after this mornings feast (with a little of the caramel run-over from the plate spooned on to those two whole buns). That portion in the lower right didn't last long after the picture was snapped. The only change I would make for the next time is to cut the lemon zest down by a 1/4 -1/2.

BTW, if you have The Bread Baker's Apprentice, the marbled rye bread is fantastic.

I tried to make that one time and couldn't get the two things to stick together. Gonna have to try it again for some homemade Ruebens.

When it came time to divide the doughs into the pieces to make the two loaves, I did not dust the dough or counter for fear of that happening. I made two bullseye loaves last night where I did dust a little bit so well see what happens when I start slicing those. I gave one of the marbal loves to a charity bake sale thing last weeke and heard the buyer loved it.

Nice, k4! I can't shape loaves for shit, even with pans.

Lookin' good - I haven't made the marbled rye yet from BBA, but I obviously need to get off my ass and do it!

Thanks! It's really good sandwich bread too... Corned beef specials and Rubens have really rocked!
