View Full Version : Lost Texan...
Just thought I would give a quick introduction....
Hello; my name is Tim and I am a Brewholic ...
I am in the Army, currently stationed / living in Brussels, Belgium and I love it here. I have served for almost 13 years with 4 deployments to far away lands.
I have been brewing for about a year and just had my first infection. After that I was heartbroken and not sure if I wanted to brew anymore, but I am over that now.
looking to get a SMaSH in the kettle soon...

Hah, could've been some delicious wild belgian yeasts infectin' your brew! Welcome to the forum MX1. My wife is military and we were stationed in Germany for 3 years. I'm actually heading to brussels in a couple weeks. Any high points I should hit while I'm there?

Know how to break a Marine's neck?
Throw sand at a wall, and tell him to hit the beach.....

Why the Navy? So he could use the uniform to moonlight as an ice cream man? I'll have two rocket pops and a chipwhich.

Actually they don't have that uniform anymore. Moving up in the world, got Cami's.
Wel, just wanted to take the time to intoduce myself again. Life has been a bit crazy for the last 2 years, very little free time.
I am moving to Colorado Springs in a few months, so putting Belgium in my rear view, and pretty happy about that.
Packed up all the brew equipment, and realized how much I missed it. will fire it up again back in the states. Looking at getting a custom stand built, much like one I saw built by Brewstands - 2 tier "Tree" style...well have a cold one!

Thanks for your service to our country. Visited Colorado Springs once, when I was serving as a Fitness Center Director for the Air Force, and I have to say that it seemed like a really nice city. Good beer is being brewed in the state. Good luck with getting back into the swing.
