I finally got around to plucking all the hop cones that were ready off of my Tett plant. Not too shabby, came in with 8.5 oz of wet hops. Figure it will dry out to about an ounce, but what do I know, any one know how much wet hops dry out to be?

Here is pics, There are about 3 times as many new buds on the plant, so I should get quite a bit off of this one plant by the end of the year. Looks like I am going to be doing my fresh hop wheat next.

wet hops are usually 5 or 6 times heavier, so you should have a little over an ounce. They look delicious.

So I harvested this past weekend, didn't take any pictures though.

Walked away with 2lbs 4oz of wet hops. I vacuum sealed them and froze them. Gonna use just about all of it in a wet hop wheat, gonna reserve some to dry hop with. Figure I am going to continually hop it from about 20 minutes till the end of the boil. Should be interesting.

WOP, How long do you think they would last frozen if you didn't use them this week?

I don't know, a while I suppose. Not gonna test that theory out though. I suppose they could last a couple of weeks or months. I got them in a pretty cold deep freeze and they are vacuum sealed so they are pretty well protected.
