Excellent job Chris!

Is there a way to move forward/backward through the video? If I hit the fast forward or rewind it stops and then starts over from the beginning.

Hey Dan, I can't recreate your registration error. Mind trying again and sending me the error message you get?

Ó Cairealláin
06-08-2009, 10:24 PM
I finally tried registering again, and it says "1 error(s) found". But it doesn't tell me what the error is. I entered a username, password, and email address.

Also, you need to change the Brewcast image in the forum header. It still says "Pre-register" and "future"

Edit: OK. I figured out that it doesn't like accents in the username or a space in the username. So for dan the problem might be having "-" in the username.

Probably because of the Ó (http://www.homebrewchatter.com/board/../../member.php?u=430) character. If you can show me how to add those into my regular expression it should work. The current expression is
[0-9a-z-])*$

I guess I could do

[0-9a-z-Ó])*$

but is there a way to do a whole range of those characters?

You're doing a regex on the username? Gah, those are the one thing I still need help with. I always have to google it to figure it out.

For usernames, I just check to make sure it doesn't have html or other known bad characters in it, rather than limiting it to good characters. If you coded the site in php, take a look at the filter_var function (http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.filter-var.php) and it's options (http://us2.php.net/manual/en/filter.constants.php).
