I've been looking for a decent diet (aka Food Lifestyle not necessarily a diet) for a while now. Since you posted in the steak thread about not eating meat, it made me curious as to what you do eat. So, give me a few examples of meals you prepare an eat on a daily basis...cause I really need to eat better than I do now. 2 sausage biscuits 4 pop tarts for breakfast and large pizza everyday for lunch just isn't healthy. I usually don't eat supper.

Ok,
Yesterday
Brekie: Fresh juice made in a SLOW juicer, I use a Samson [# A mill-type Single Auger with less foam
# Low 80 RPM speed insures the highest nutrients value
# Higher yield, with drier pulp
# Extracts healthy, pure juice without hazardous chemicals]
1. large glass of:
Pineapple, Carrots, oranges, lime, fresh mint [was out of watermellon and apples]
2. Organic baked beans on home made rye bread
3. Black tea
Lunch: Vegie Delight [sanitarium] with gherkin relish and salad [avocado, lettuce, tomato, union, Bean sprouts and beetroot]
Black tea
Dinner: Warm salad with squid and chilie.
Home brew until I have had enough.
It changes every day.
You have pizza every day? Man you must be the size of a house.

No, being 6'3" I can hold a bit of weight and not look to big, but I have gained 40 pounds in the last 2 years. Up to 212lb. Need to do something about that. That was my whole point in asking. If anyone else has some decent meals that are healthy and can last a couple days post em up. I am really interested in having a few different meals I can make 1 night and eat it for lunch the 2 or 3 days. That alone would help my diet a lot.

bindi- its cool that you may not like real meat. Saying that you are fitter because you dont eat meat is crap.
Sure you pound down some McDs and get fat. But McDs isnt real meat. I got to a point where the Dr. Told me to eat more fatty meat because my cholesterol was whacked. I switched from Filet to ribeys.

Good point Mike. I'm overweight, but I chalk 95% of that up to the beer.
My Cholesterol is low, and I just started getting B12 shots because the doc thinks I don't eat enough red meat.
Seems that every single form of life on the planet that CAN eat flesh...DOES eat flesh.

Thats horrible SC,
Check out this place (http://www.thedailyplate.com) you can easily keep track of how many cals you eat a day. It will calculate how many calories you need a day in order to lose how every many pounds a week you would like to lose. It also breaks everything down to nice pie charts.
4 pop tarts is about 800 cals
1 large pizza is god only knows how much probably 300-400 cals per slice.
If there is 10 slices thats already 1000-2000 cals more than you should eat.

Also
I know quite a few fat vegetarians. Just cause they do not eat meat doesn't mean that they do not go to town on carbs.

I am not saying I am fitter because I don't eat meat, it's my lifestyle that keeps me fit and strong, my diet helps, my blood tests for the last couple of years have been good, HDA and LDAs we very good but my iron was up [always has been] BP 120-80 pulse 60 at age 59 this year, I chose this diet after a diving accident in the Navy [short story: dived to 45M the day before, deco dive, touch football the next morning with divers under training [I was the instructor] I took a hard knock [pricks, get even], then a long 2 hour hard work dive to 10m and a blood clod traveled to my heart, they thought I was bent so 4.75 hour on table 51 in the re compression chamber which could have killed me, the clot went no thanks to the Navy school of underwater medicine, the doc said have a couple of beer every day, half an asprin a day [2 a week now] and watch your diet from now on as you have a scar where that clot was, someone killed that doc a few years later, not me] Sorry, not short.:shark:

When you go to the grocery store, only buy things from the aisles on the outside perimeter of the store.

Sandcast, you don't eat any fruit or veg, had to google Jimmy Dean sausage, Cheese Biscuit and Pop Tart's, I have seen Mountain Dew here.
It would help if you saw a professional Dietician, your colon would be pleased.:(
IMHO your diet is not good and I am no expert, how old are you?

I'm mid 30's. I've been eating whatever I want for a long time, guess age and diet finally caught up with me. I am making a change in my diet starting this morning, gotta go grocery shopping and I plan on buying a few healthier things.

I try to eat something green everyday. Try for brocolli, spinach or asparagus but sometimes it's just this:

I use spinach instead of lettuce. Go through about a pound a week on sandwiches and on burritos I bring for lunch. Also makes a good salad in a pinch with tomatoes, feta, and balsamic. Also good to saute and add to eggs/omlettes.

When I'm not travelling back and forth from school I keep a big bag of spinach in the fridge. All I use for salads at home.

Same here with the spinach. We stopped buying lettuce this past summer and now we live off of spinach.
Gonna try and grow some in the garden this year.
