Saw this in a regional BA thread....if you live in the areas mentioned in the title, get ready for one of those moments you'll be glad you like beer:

Cabernet barrel-aged sour beer with black currants, CONSECRATION
And the long-awaited PLINY the YOUNGER

Consecration will be released on February 2nd on draught and in 750ml bottles at our pub and limited distribution in No. California. Starting that week, we will also distribute bottles and kegs to Southern California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Philadelphia. We can’t tell you exactly where it will be, but it will be extremely limited.

Pliny the Younger will also be released on February 2nd on draft only. It will be available at our pub, select accounts in the Bay Area, Southern California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Philadelphia.

Zbeeble, buy one of those growlers of Pliny the Younger from their brewpub and ship to me, yeah?

Otherwise, this sounds like hard beer to find, unless you are local to Russian River.

I gotta find me some Consecration. I wonder if it will be at the local BevMo. We get Damnation there.

K4, if you find some of that Consecration and there is more than you intend to buy, would you pick me up a six or twelver if they ahve it. Or a few bombers if that's the only way they sell it? I'll pay you for beer + shipping and send back some homebrew love :)

I'd expect they will do cork & caged 750s like they are doing with the damnation. If I see a stash, I'll keep ya in mind! Me thinks they will go PDQ when they hit the shelves.

Southern California, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, and Philadelphia?

How does Philly show up in that mix? I'm not complaining, but seems odd to be the only east coast distribution.

Can't wait to try some of that Pliny the Younger!

I've heard that Vinny has family or similar connections to the area....factor in the Philadelphia region alone consumes more Belgian beer than all of Beligium and has a pretty wicked beer culture with high visibility bars like Monks w/ Tom Peters, that's rated one of the top beer bars in the world... Edit: Btw, when they purchased the brewhouse from DFH, Vinny swung into town and grabbed a beer or two at Monks.

Younger is prb only going to show up at a couple places on draft and likely get floated the same day...it's going to be fun.

He mentions that certain So cal locations are going to receive these beers, is there any way I can find out where?

Join BA and the regional forum for your homebase...if it shows up near you, you'll find out about it there first.

Tank, if you find out where it's released I'd love to know. I have a few ideas that might get it around here, but I'm curious how south they're distributing.

Lucky Baldwin's in Pasadena has a 1/6th barrel of Consecration that hopefully they're going to be putting on tap soon.

On another note LB's newsletter:

Come and meet Charles, the owner of the Het Anker Brewery in Mechelen, Belgium. The brewers of the Gouden Carolus beers:- of their beers, we will have on tap:-

1. Gouden Carolus Van de Keizer Blauw
2. Gouden Carolus Noel
3. Gouden Carolus Triple
4. Gouden Carolus Ambrio
5. Gouden Carolus Van de Keizer Rood
6. Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor

Also, we will have a vintage keg of the Gouden Carolus Grand Cru of The Emperor.

Come along and enjoy some great beers and say Hi to Charles on THURSDAY 19TH MARCH AROUND 6PM!

I'm hoping tonight they tap the Consecration...
