Have a canadian ale in my secondary its been ther efor almost 2 weeks. Within the last 2 days a white scum has formed on the inside wall of the carboy. It loks rather thick on the bottom. I opened it and it smelled ok. Is this contaminated??? Was set to bottle on Friday...

Does it look like this? If so great! :)

Yeah, those 5 gallon carboys with the indentations on the sides are designed weird. All those nooks in the side catch all the yeast that is still falling out of suspension. Everything is probably fine and dandy.

It looks like that on the bottom but it also goes up the sides of the carboy.

Was going to that but my camera is dead. On the bottom it looks lile the pic you posted but there is a thin layer going up the sides. If it was contaminated would the be a nasty smell? Will try and have a pic when I charge the camera...
Thanks for the replys so far!!!!!

What is it? Do you havea crack in your fermenter?

FYI, looks like yeast to me. If it tastes good then your fine.

Hm, "white scum". You're the Louis Farrakhan of beer.

Like I said above, it's just the yeast setting on the ridges of the fermentor.
