Never heard of either of these, the single bottles were pretty expensive though so I figured they may be worth a shot. Really don't know what to expect. Anyone had either?

I have Thomas Hardy 2007 No. P 16080

Hold on to the Thomas Hardy for a while. If you can muster it to buy another bottle or so. It's an Old Ale...somewhat like an English Barleywine, but with more treacle/molasses type things going on.

The Gose is really weird. Corriander and salt or something like that. Interested to hear your thoughts on it.

They had 4 packs of the hardy for $24. If I really like it, I'll pick one up and stash away

I haven't ever had the other beer you got.

I like that Hardy ale. I read about it after I tried one. I guess it is already aged five years before it is bottled that is why is expensive. I would like to do a clone of it.

ALready had it. Was flat, malty and a bit tart. Tasted like a handpulled, wasn't bad, but I was expecting carbonation

I had the Gose before. Not too bad as far as I recall. I had it when I was in Leizip for a business trip about 3 years ago. btw in case you are interested... Leipziger stands for something from the City of Leipzig.

I had Dogfish Head Gose last September, they had it on tap at the Brewpub. It was very easy to drink. I just tasted it, but my mother-in-law, who is a STRICT Coors drinker really liked it. I don't remember a strong coriander flavor, but I do remember the sourness, it was good.

Flan, you probably don't recall how you liked it, being so long ago, do you?
