Hey everybody. I like drinking beer so I started making it several months back. So far its one of the coolest hobbies Ive had. I built my own draft setup, and made my own wort chiller... simple stuff, I know, but I feel satisfaction every time I pull that tap handle :)

I found this forum through Youtube, when I saw some beer reviews from members of this site, but I was really sold on the philosophy of no censorship. I like people who dont need anyone to hold their hand and cover their ears.

Anyway its good to be here, now its time for me to go rumaging through all your posts.

Daniel

Thanks for all the welcomes! I dont see that on forums much anymore. To answer a couple of questions, Im in the Jackson area, Pearl to be exact. As far as my setup goes, it is still very humble.

I started out with Northern Brewer's deluxe starter kit for the 2 glass carboys, and I bought a cornelius keg and co2 bottle later. My kegerator (I really dislike that word) is a GE fridge that I had hell converting because of its freezer tray. Ive never bottled before, but Im about to try that soon.

Keggin to bottling? Wow, I have never seen that transition before. I can almost guarantee you after your first bottling fiasco you may never do it again.

I had a mini fridge with the freezer problem, wound up upgrading to a full size fridge pretty soon after ($50 on craigslist).

Just going to bottle a few so I can give some away without having a bunch of coworkers at my house. Im planning to upgrade to a freezer when I can, so I can install taps as I get more kegs. Ahh equipment... when I think about all the things I want (and could really use!) I start salivating.

Oh yeah Ó Flannagáin, does your wife do removables or crown and bridge? My lab does both, but I work in crown and bridge. I wonder if dental labs in NY are as full of gossip and drama as labs in MS? All the labs down here are like reality shows :)

I'll tell ya, I've started bottling right off the keg individual bottles and it works great. I just shove a 1 foot piece of tubing up in the faucet, stick the other end at the bottom of my bottle, cut the serving pressure down to almost nothing and fill. Works great and holds carb.

Haha, look at this guys signature and title now. "I would never have given these liberals a dime" ? What kind of conservative is into BDSM and all the other fetishes that he talked openly about all the time?

I was wondering what happened to him. Oh well. I guess HBC can't please everybody.

This was his last post Time Warner can go to hell (http://www.homebrewchatter.com/board/f57/time-warner-can-go-to-hell-t4796/post64539.html)

Oh no, freedom. What a horrible concept. Im charging all the haters of a free market 100 dollars to suck my cock. If that offends you, just remember you dont have to do it :)

He seems to have missed the fact that Cable companies are government mandated monopolies. We don't have a freedom of choice. It really has nothing to do with liberals vs conservatives, so if his signature is relating to that, then he's sadly misguided. Hopefully we're just reading too much in to this. ;)
