0.0 ea Fermentis US-05 Safale US-05
3.0 oz East Kent Goldings (5.0%) - added dry to secondary fermenter

Mash for 60 minutes @ 152. This was my first experience with Special B and I felt it really added a nice spicy element to go along with the EKG. It's called 1/2 lb IPA because there are 8 oz of hops in the recipe.

I like the looks of that hop schedule :)

I've never used Special B in an IPA before. I remember using it in some brew, but I forget which one. In small amounts does it impart a nutty flavor to the recipe? I bet that gives it a nice amber color.

Yeah, that looks really good. I'm stoked to brew up the Arrogant Bastard with some Special B this weekend.

I've decided that I will do this one also. You have some nice looking recipes, blacklab. My next beer will definitely be the cascade orange, and I'll do this one a few brews later. I'm hoping my current IPA turns out nice.
