I was at Home Depot today, and I noticed outside next to the propane that they now have co2, nitrogen, Oxygen and Acetline bottles for exchange! How nice. The 20# Co2 was $18 about what I paid for my last one at PraxAir.

Interesting, I wonder if they can mix up beer gas too.

Oh, I figured if they were doing fill ups maybe they'd do a mix of nitro/co2 for you.

I am sure that they get the full tanks from Tri Gas or one of the other big corps. Most welding supply shops don't even fill Co2 on site.

I did not know they will mix nitrogen and co2, co2 is liquid when compressed and nitrogen is gas only I think. also the pressure of co2 is like 1000 and nitrogen is 4-5k.

have you seen a mix setup like that?

Nah, I just heard that's what beer gas is, part co2 part notro. I could be way wrong.

Beer gas is a mix. When you let Co2 out of your tank, it is coming out as a gas. There is always head space in a tank. The nitrogen mixes into solution with the Co2 if I understand it correctly.
