Yesterday, but because of the crickets here, I figured it wasn't worthwhile.

Worst brew day I have ever had. Hung over as fuck. couldn't hardly stand and I'm trying to brew. Mash went fine. started heating to boil, get my 60 min hop addition in ( 1 oz whole leaf magnum) and less than 5 minutes later, bang. power goes out, I boil on my stove top still. well power stays out for almost 4 hours. When it finally came on I started boiling again from my 45 minute ad. which was half oz of magnum whole leaf. then on to the rest of my Amarillo and Saaz flavor and aroma ad's. Then time to try to go out side and chill in the gale force winds and rain were having. No go, Like an 80 year old man with and enlarged prostate. Fuck whole leaf hops with out using a hop bag. Never again.
so I had to do the old ice bath. ended up having to rack to warm, so I am yet to pitch my yeast.
As for the hung over shit. Not a big story, just chillin at a few bars with Wop all night drinkin some good beer. Didnt even stay out late. got home around 2 I think.
I'm just getting to damn old for this shit I think.

Yeah nothing too spectacular want on Saturday night, Had a good Octoberfest at Upland Brewing Co. Then went to Finches (good beer bar) and had a New Holland Black Tulip Trippel, awesome trippel if you can get your hands on some try it. Everything great about a trippel with out the sharp malty alcohol notes that most american breweries end up with in their trip's.

Then on to the Bloominton Brewing Company for some of their B-Town Brown. Really good Brown Ale, full of chocolate flavor and biscuty aroma. We finished the night out at our standard night capper, the Alley Bar, a hole in the wall with one or two good beers, they have $4.50 liters, but the only decent thing on tap is Redhook Long Hammer. We had a couple of Hop3 Ales from Clipper City though.

Good night of drinking, not too crazy though, Was a rough sunday morning.
