You guys interested in having your own HBC blog? I just saw that vBulletin has a built in add on I can buy that would run as part of the forum... I suspect this is what they are using at the other vbulletin homebrew site as well. I think I'll get it if there's any interest.

I look at people who write in blogs the same way as I look at people who wear bluetooth headsets in public.

I wouldn't use it, but some people might find it handy. It might a good way to write recipe notes, etc. But if I have to see pictures of your 3-year-old's birthday party, so help me god! :p

If it's cheap, I think it would be cool to have. If it is going to cost you a good chunk of change, I say skip it. I never use those things, but I know a lot of people do.

I think the Forum acts as a blog itself. If people want to create a "blog-type" post (aka, "My brewday" or "How to do X"), they can just do a post in the correct sub-forum.

I think Pseudo had another valid point in his argument tha the didn't touch on. It may distract from the content we have in the site and distract people from adding containt to the site that they want to put on a blog instead. Maybe once the place gets bigger.

I tried to do a blog a while ago, it's kinda a PITA. There's no back and forth like in the threads, so you really have to have something to say.

The "other" place did it, and I never use it, I never read others' entries, I never care a bit about it.

But as I've been saying, if the site somehow alerted you to new blog entries, I might use it.
