Got my ingredients for the 9-9-9 today and everything looks cool.....except I ordered an ounce of Hallertau to use for bittering only and they only ring in a a mighty 1.5 AA. I was not expecting it to be that low. The ones I get locally are 3.5! Don't have the time or money to get to the LHBS before my Thursday deadline so I'm going to run with it I guess.
Seriously though 1.5? I'm going to get a whole 6.2 IBUs even with a 90 min boil. Why even sell these things?

thats a little crazy. your right , whats the point. I guess they think your only using it for a tiny aroma add. seriously, do you have anything else on hand?

Hey if it only for the 999 then you are fine, you really don't want the AA anyway. You just want the preservative aspects of the hops. I used hops that had been pinned up on my garage wall for over a year and a half, talk about zero AA.
Sucks though they should put the current AA of their hops up on the website.
