so i have .75 oz of galena and .25 oz of cascade sitting in the freezer and they have already started to yellow a tad so I want to use them up.
(from brew 365)

Galena Hops
Characteristics
Galena is a high-alpha (12 to 14% AAU) all purpose bittering hop. This is a pungent, very bitter variety that can be used in a wide range of beer styles.
According to John Palmer's How To Brew webpage, Galena is "the most widely used commercial bittering hop in the US."

Specifications
Typical Use : Bittering Alpha Acid : 12 to 14% AAU
Origination : USA
Characteristics : Clean, Pungent
Styles : Most any style as bittering component
Similar Hops : Brewers Gold, Chinook, Nugget.

I am at a loss... I just want something simple and quick, what say you?

Galena is my house bittering hop for 75% of my beers. It's very clean, neutral, and high-AA, so it goes a long way. Dude, brew whatever you want, toss the Galena in at 60, and it'll be fine...well, almost. I dunno if a pilsner could deal, but MOST styles, yeah, it's great. Very versatile.

Make beer with them :p

Really you can use them in just about anything for bittering. If you want do a pale and use the galena for bittering and the cascade (along with something else .25oz won't cut it for much) as a flavor or aroma.

yeah, you need to brew more. if you're not brewing right now, then you're not brewing enough.
