Wifey wanted sparkling water on one of my 6 taps. I was skeptical, as that means less beer, but I obliged earlier this week. Filled a keg with filtered water, hit it with 45psi and shook the hell out of it, then backed down to 35psi for serving. It took a couple days to get to truly "sparkling water" carbo level, but I gotta say: having that around it so badass! We finished the keg in like 3 days. I think I also drink less beer because of it too, for some reason...there's something about the carbonation that just makes it much different than still water for me, much more satisfying.

Anyway, if you can spare the tap space, I highly recommend it!!!

I love sparkling water. This is a great idea, gonna have to hook up one of my empties when I get home this weekend.

I plan on doing this when I start kegging. Maybe throw in some fresh-squeezed lemon juice for a little flavor.

Sparkling water is a nice change of pace from regular ol' boring water.

Yeah, seeing as I drink about 2 gallons or so a day, all that extra gas(he said gas) would fill me up more than I could handle.

I also like it room temp. Thought I was the only one.

Haha, same here. I hate cold water.

Glad it worked out. I need to go ahead and fill a keg with tonic soon.

Man, I don't think I could do a whole keg of tonic water. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love me a good Gin & Tonic, but I can't drink tonic water straight-up...it's just weird, like slightly salty/sweet. How many taps do you have? I guess I'd contemplate it if I had 10. Anything less, well, it'd be a bit like putting agostino bitters on tap. I'd use it, sure, but not often enough to make it worth it to use a spot. Plain sparkling water, though, like I said, we roared through that keg in 3 days, which is way way faster than I thought we would.

Cool thing is, it's very easy to bottle it from the tap. There's no foaming like with beer, so you can easily fill it right to the top. Flip-top bottles & growlers are quickly becoming much more versatile!

So I guess, if I were you, I'd make that keg of tonic, but once it's carbed, go ahead and bottle all of it in 12's & 22's. Unless, well, you like tonic straight up, or you drink a whole lot more gin & tonics than I do :D

I drink V&T or G&T at least 4 nights a week, 5-7 of em. Yes I know I am an alky ;) As for a tap, I would just put it on a picnic tap with a short hose. Easy to lift the top of the keezer.

So you drink at least 20 vodka/gin & tonics a week? Fucking BRILLIANT!

I just don't drink that much booze since I have so much beer in the house.

Doesn't that cut into your beer drinking time?

I drink too fast to always have beer ready to drink so the liquor stops me from going broke buying good craft brew or drinking swill.

just buy more fermenters mate! I have 7 of them, and they are always full. Small price to pay for having a LOT of homebrew in different stages of fermentation. Oh wait, I have NINE of them.... forgot about the 2 Demijohns that I ferment Apfelwien in.

I don't mind a nice G&T or 5 myself (although, I prefer a single matl, or a caucasion). What do you need to add to water besides C02 to make tonice water?

Yeah, where do you find quinine?

Making tonic is a bitch. Google it and you shall see. Quinine is VERY sticky and you have to take several steps to make it. From what I have read it takes a few hours to make, then about a day to dry it out a bit, and is almost impossible to do without getting everything within 15 feet of it sticky.
