Hi guys,

not that it really matters since the extra fridge is running anyway, but for some reason I had to think about the energy usage last night. I am about to add yet another (maybe small) fridge and thought about the additional cost. How many kwh is a ... let's say a Sanyo 49xx using per month? I'm just curious and wasn't able to find something online.

Thanks

Not sure but I know that you can run a 15 cubic foot chest freezer for under 20 a year due to no heat gain when you open the top.

When I got my Sanyo the sticker that was on it said something crazy like $40 a year to run.
If you're using it for fermenting ales with a temp controller it will use even less.

I believe it, they come up with those stickers in perfect environments. Cool room, no sun light, never open it.

I know it's only a few bucks and I am really not concerned about the additonal 3-4 bucks per months. I'm just interested in the actual kwh per month. Just can't find that anywhere.
