Seriously, $250 for water in July? The scumfuckers raised rates like $20 per 1000 gals this year, too.
The worst part is that they don't measure your actual sewer input...they just assume it by applying a multiplying factor to your water usage. So all that water that goes on my lawn and my plants and is then drank by those plants to live, is assumed to have gone into their sewer system. Not only that, but my actual stormwater situation here is a joke (I'm the recipient of the stormwater from the rest of my street), and the city refuses to do a damn thing about it.
And then, come winter, the knobgobblers will raise rates on natural gas again, and rape my wallet some more. Good thing you keep raising your rates to pay for horseshit like a $50,000,000 glorified bus stop, er, I'm sorry, "transit center".
So, Charlottesville, here's a big FUCK YOU, MOTHERFUCKERS! for ripping me off. You can all eat my ass.

I've never in my fucking life heard of a waterbill that was over $20. Where the fuck do you live that water is so precious you have a $250 water bill? That's fucking insanity.

I live where the town likes to assrape you every which way but sunday. I'd love to know where my exhorbitant property taxes go. Hell, I pay insane property taxes and STILL have to fork over $100 every year for a trash sticker. It makes me sick.
We've been watering our lawn and our garden a lot, because we've gotten no rain, and it's either water it all, or flush all the money we've spent on the lawn and gardens right down the drain, and I'm not willing to do that. So they say we used 15k gallons in July.

I feel you on the sewer rates, they do the same thing here, basically they just double my water bill and charge me that for my sewer bill, that is why i refuse to water my lawn, I will water my plants outside but that is it.
Although mine isn't quite as bad as yours, a bad month for me is $75, that sucks that your rates are so high, mine will probably jump up a good bit here soon, they are going to build a new water treatment plant (totally unneeded) so they will have to pay for it some how.

Apartments may suck donkey scrotum, but after reading that I'm thankful for my flat fee of $25/mo.

A "rough" monht here is 50. Highest it ever got was 75 when we filled our pool. 35 is the norm.

Yikes, that's a lot.
I pay $140 for sewer and about $30 for water quarterly.

There was talk around here about the city/county putting meters on country home wells. YES, you read that right. They want to put a meter on my well, I paid for the well to be put in not them, now they want to charge me for the water that is pulled out. Believe me, the day it is put in, if it ever gets passed, it will be DESTROYED by my livestock...fucking money hungry bastids'

Actually our atmosphere bill last month was like $325. Still better than that tax I have to pay every time I take a piss.
