This is our annual grain order that just arrived.This should get us 200 gals(we stay right aroud a 20# grain bill for our 11-12 gal batches)easily.You're looking at;
55#Munich malt
110#Pilsner malt
80#Wheat malt
150#2-row
10#Crystal 150
25#Biscuit malt
25#Dextrin malt
I dig the sacks the stuff came in,AHS shipped in clear plastic.I used 19 5gal buckets to store it all in.The outfit i ordered from never sent an invoice so i don't know what the specific costs per lb are yet but the bill was $631.Add $125 for shipping and its close to $750 delivered.Say $250 more for hops and yeast(dry) and you got a grand.$1000 for beer for the next year or so....not bad eh?

honestly that is a steal! I am sure we have all spent over 1k a year on just buying beer at some point.

That's great, man. I'm thinking about doing something similar - if you're gonna buy it anyway why not do it all at once and save some coin while you're at it.

Hey Wop,check this out.Yesterdays halibut haul...175# combined weight(92,53,25).We ended up with 110# of filets.

MDD,we ordered this from The Cellar hbs in Seattle.I got the guy to take it the barge line(in Seattle)for free so we only had to pay $125 for 450# on the weekly barge.It worked out to .27 per lb.It was the best deal from our location.
