OMGWTFBBQ PEW PEW PEW contest help!!!

so ok we are about to bottle a beer in a few min here, and the deadline for the contest is aug 15. they say the beer will be stored at cellar temp until sept 6-7 do u think it will carb up in time? cellar temp is 55*f right? will the yeast be active enough at that temp (i dont think they will but then again who sez that it will be true cellar temp)

anyhow what should I do?

SHould be ok as long as you are bottling now and yeast have a chance to get started at 60+

yeah its like 70 or so in the basment...My other beer didnt carb up yet tho, and its been 13 days now... but since its 10 bucks to enter 3 beers I am sending everything I have.. I cant wait to get shot down considering they are my 1st 2nd and 3rd all grains lol

Bottle now and keep em warm. You will need all the time you can get but it should work fine!

also what do you think about this...I am entering my american amber with english yeast as a premieum bitter... the judges are guna be all WTF? cuz it aint no where clsoe to style but it was the only thing that made any sense other then the anything goes catagory... its really fullbodied and a quite a bit sweet with no major hop character...so we will see what they say... I have high hopes for the pale ale tho... other then the fact that the f*&ker dryed out from 1.052 to 1.002! i dunno what I am doing but that is twice now I got crazy aperant attenuation... (sorry bouwt spelling had a few wee-heavys...)

thanks I will need it... best part is tho its for the renaissance festival, and durring the judging they have set aside tickets for everyone, and its a pirate themed weekend! i think i may just dress like a ninja if i can get the day off.
