So, my next batch is going to be a gruit ale. The recipe I'm basing it off of called for "0.5 lb. Homemade invert candy sugar (medium color)". Now, the problem is I don't know how to make it. The google results confuse me and I was wondering if you folks had a simpler explanation, or even a substitution.
