Ugh, the Brown Ring of Fire Striketh Again!

Agh, fuck me in the goat-ass! Every year I think it'd be a good idea to hit up some Braveheart wings (or, wing, singular). And every year, I pay. My cousin (15) comes down from Cape Cod and stays with us for a week or so in the summer, and one of the things we always do is go down to the Wild Wing Cafe with my wife and get a 25-wing sampler. They have great wings, no doubt...but we always finish up with a little extra: one 'Braveheart' wing apiece (not the wife, of course). You can't get it on the sampler, and you buy them one wing at a time, as they're the hottest on the menu.

For the first 15 or 20 seconds, you're wondering if you should send it back and tell the waitress that it wasn't hot at all and they screwed up your order. Then the pain cometh like a roaring fucking freight train (fitting, as the restaurant is housed in the old train station). For 20 minutes, my cousin and I just sit there squirming, drinking gallons of water and munching on ice and trying not to pass out. And Xenu help you if you get it on your fuckin lips. Holy God! The pain, it just overtakes you...but after 30 minutes or so you're okay again (but bloated from all the water you drank).

Then comes the next morning (today), and the gift keeps on giving. My stomach feels like I ate a bunch of razor blades, and everything's fixin' to come out liquefied (sorry for the visual). And when it does, well, prepare for the brown ring of fire. Fuck me, it's like napalm coming out of your ass. And I doubt it's over.

Can't wait for next year! :D

Hahahahahaha That sounds exactly like me and a few buddies from Houston. We give hot sauces to each other for X-mas.....makes for a real interesting party once the wings come out.

Well, you're drinking water, which is the problem. Capsaicin isn't water soluble. You need to drink some milk or something so the fat will help dissolve the chemical.

I live for hot foods and I hate milk. But you gotta' do what you gotta' do.

I've had the Braveheart before at Wild Wings. Definitely hot as shit. I was hurting pretty bad for about 30 minutes as you say.. in fact, it was almost exactly 30 minutes. But I chose to munch on celery as much as drinking water. I liked it afterwards though. Cleared out my nose and throat real good and after a big piss I was ready to drink a ton of beer. I like food really fucking hot. Just hate when I get the hickups from inhaling the heat.

Love me some hot food. Took a look and there is no Wild Wings in Washington. I do go to a small Mexican joint that gives me some insanely hot stuff. Not really regular menu stuff though more daily specials.

I don't eat it all the time though, so the ring of fire is a problem for me. So hot it almost feels cold at first. Hurts so bad, you almost expect blood.

I had a Wild Wings in Asheville, NC. Got Buffalo Wild Wings up here in NY... they have some pretty good wings, think I liked the Gold Rush or Golden Nugget or whatever it was at Wild Wings best though. Spicy Honey Barbque... delicious.

I miss wild wings...Had one in Fla. Buffalo Wild Wings is nothing. I have dipped my hot wings in ranch that was hotter than their Blazing wings.

That's what happens when I eat Indian Food. I love the taste, but something in it literally doubles me over in pain more often than not... I love Thai and Malaysian and some of that is SUPER hot, but I don't get the stomach cramps.

Thanks Evan...now tonight I am making atomic wings... 1 bottle of Franks red hot sauce, 1 tablespoon of Dave's Insanity sauce and 1 of Widow Maker. Just for burn reduction, doing a batch of sweet honey mustard as well....

if it doesn't burn the next morning it was not really that hot

out here we have this place called the "Screaming Yak" same basic idea

the only sell there really hot one a wing at a time but if you get past #10 the rest are free for the duration of the night

I can eat only 2 then I am done
these same wings sent a buddy of mine to the hospital because they messed up the back of his throat

we still call him a pussy !

she was around only to sleep with his friends but that is another story

but yeah he went to the hospital and stayed there for 2 days waiting for the doctors to stop laughing at him so he could be released
