Had one at the pub last night. Going to try the 16 later today.

Pours a murky brown with an enormous fluffy tan head.

Aroma is of dark fruits and spices. Peppery with a big malt aroma.

Flavor begins kind of sweet with the dark fruits and chocolate but quickly changes gears with peppery, herbal funkiness followed by a firm bitterness at the end. Very interesting. Quite a bit of alchohol warmth. (I know for a fact it is there because it did me in) Enjoyable beverage.

I would like to taste this a few years from now and see how it ages. Flavors came off a little harsh especialy the alchohol and pepper. I still enjoyed it and will try it again soon.

750ml corked bottle? What did they hit you for it?

Yeah the 750ml. Around $7.00 I think. I'm headed back tonight to try the 16.

That's a really good price...I don't recall what I last saw this at but it was quite spendy.
