You know how it is when you first move into a place. You grab the shit off the truck and throw it into wherever it seems to fit.

That's what we did anyway.

Now, after more than 12 years, I have decided to bring some order to her garage. I pulled out everything away from the walls and repaired all the holes in the drywall to start.

I installed some cabinets that I got from an office remodel at work. I took them all apart and painted them in high gloss white. They have effectively doubled the cabinet space she has for storage for canned goods etc. By moving the location of the garage fridge and freezer, I now have space to install a sweet solid stainless steel sink next to the washer and dryer. I finally have a place to wash up after working in my shop other than the kitchen sink !

Today I am removing the existing cabinets, painting the walls and ceiling, moving the fridge and freezer to their final location and plumbing the sink and washer.

Other than a good cleaning after, I am getting close to done.

I will post some pics as soon as it gets light outside.

Next up; MY garage/shop !!!!!!

Cheers,

Sounds like a fun project, but I'm sure you're looking forward to getting your side done even more!

Dude, you have no idea how much.

The bonus is, by making a lot more room in her garage, I will be able to off load some of the crap in my shop that really belongs in her garage.

More room for tools, car parts and brewing stuff !!!

You must have a heated garage or live in the banana belt.... I have a sink with H & C in my garage, but with an whole system to shut off and drain the water lines to prevent freezing. and a washer in the garage....

And his and hers garages??? WTF?

Yeah, her garage.

I have my own just like it, except that mine is full of cars, car parts, tools and brewing shit.

Oh, and I live in Calif. ;)
